Establish Your Organization's Charitable Gift Annuity Program With Endowment Partners.
What is a Charitable Gift Annuity?
A Charitable Gift Annuity (CGA) is a lifelong contract between a donor and a 501(c)(3) qualified public charity.

Under this contractual agreement the donor makes a donation, and the qualified public charity invests the gift and pays the donor a fixed income for life.

The annual payment to the donor is a fixed and predetermined amount based on their age, life expectancy, and whether there are one or two beneficiaries.

At the end of the donor's life, the charity is entitled to the remainder of the gift. The target value of the gift at conclusion of the contract is 50% of the original value of the gift.
What are the benefits for your organization?
-
There is more certainty with a CGA than bequest because the gift realized today and irrevocable. With a bequest, donor could change their estate plan at any time (plans often in the last 10 years of life).
-
Offering a CGA program increases your philanthropic sophistication which can help enhance donor confidence.
-
A CGA program allows for individuals to make a significant gift who otherwise would not be able to without a lifetime income component.
-
By establishing a CGA program, you are making a commitment to your organization’s long-term sustainability and ensuring your mission will be carried out generations from now.
What are the benefits for your donor?
Income for life AND fulfillment of their charitable intentions during their
lifetime. As well as many various tax benefits, which could include:

-
Ability to donate various types of assets including; cash, securities, and retirement account holdings or distributions which may create a reduction or elimination of capital gains tax liability for appreciated assets.
-
An immediate (partial) tax deduction based on the donors life expectancy and the anticipated income stream, the year the CGA is established. Additionally, a portion of the annual income from the annuity may be tax-free.
